London, Week 5

This past week was my last week in London, but there was no shortage of things that happened! Monday might be the exception, since I spent most of writing my last assignment for my art class. I did, however, stop at Primark in the morning with a friend for one of the last times (I, like many of us, had gone a few times over our time in London) and got a couple last things. I spent most of the rest of day working on homework but did go to Pizza Express for dinner, which we’ve noticed is quite a staple in the UK (we went for both our Edinburgh farewell and orientation lunch and noticed no shortage of them walking around London). Tuesday was a bit more of an exciting day, in a few different ways. In the morning, we had the USAC tour of the Houses of Parliament. It was also the one time that I actually got on the wrong train using the tube for my whole time in London, but at least it was only going the wrong way and then I still ended up being a couple minutes early. ...

London, Week 4

Knowing that I only have just under a week left is pretty sad but my time in London really has been amazing. And this week has been no exception! In fact, it was one of my busiest weeks overall and a ton of fun! Monday was the last of my visits to the museums right around Imperial’s campus--the Natural History Museum. This was definitely one of my favorite museums overall, and they had a lot of cool exhibits about so much, from evolution to volcanoes to minerals and gems to so much more. A blue whale skeleton in the Natural History Museum Tuesday we had the USAC trip to a cruise on the river Thames and then a trip on the London Eye after class. The cruise was a nice way to see all the bits of London by the river.
